Hale Technique – Emotional System (I feel)

Our emotional system is formed from 3 areas

  1. Personal experiences in life. Emotions gained from life experiences.
  2. Family feelings, beliefs, behaviour and traits that pass from generation to generation (e.g. prejudices)
  3. Our spiritual expression as an individual (personality) e.g. Two members of the same family respond emotionally differently to the same stress
    With decreased strength or imbalance in our emotional system, stress can result in illness.

Examples of issues causing imbalance:

  • Over responsibility
  • Fear
  • Trust
  • Anger
  • Grief
  • Depression
  • Self-Worth
  • Sadness
  • Approval

The Emotional Mind can be described as our Conscience i.e. “Do unto to others as you would like done to you”

Our immune and our emotional systems are directly linked i.e. prolonged stress may cause chronic health problems i.e. headaches, low energy, chronic infections etc. and also prevent them from improving.

As we experience life our emotional system connects with previous encounters in childhood & adolescence. While our feelings re-emerge it is our mental mind that gives it meaning and turns it into a belief, or a story or a behaviour.
